Day 1 – Tuesday 30th December:
Our group will meet today at Heathrow Airport at 12.45pm for our afternoon flight direct to Prague [no messing around with indirect flights or out-of-London airports!]. On our arrival we will be transferred by private mini-buses to our hostel accommodation for check in. Tonight let's check out the infamous Prague night life… Welcome to Praha!

Day 2 – Wednesday 31st December:
We will start the day by joining join our local English speaking guide for a walking tour of Prague . The tour lasts a couple of hours and is an excellent orientation and introduction to this amazing city. The afternoon is then free to enjoy the city or perhaps stroll around the fantastic Christmas Markets that are open daily until the 1st of January.

Tonight the group will come together at the hostel bar for a New Year's Eve party including a DJ, dancing, dinner & drink vouchers good for beer or wine. We will have a champagne toast at midnight or for those wanting to embrace the cold there are fantastic fireworks to be seen over the River Vltava. Happy New Year!

Day 3 – Thursday 1st January:
Welcome to 2009! A slow start this morning as we nurse our sore heads. We have classic movies & a great New Year's Day Hangover Brunch buffet available until

Day 1 – Tuesday 30th December:
After making your way to Berlin , please head to The Meininger Hostel [Hallesches Ufer] any time from 3pm onwards where you will be able to check in to your allocated rooms and meet your tour representatives. Tonight is your chance to join us at our Welcome Party in the hostel – meet your tour leaders and tour group, mix & mingle and get warmed up for the party of a lifetime tomorrow night!

Day 2 – Wednesday 31st December:
We will start the day by joining join our local English speaking guide for a walking tour of Berlin . The tour lasts a couple of hours and is an excellent orientation and introduction to this amazing city. The afternoon is then free to enjoy the city or perhaps stroll around the fantastic Christmas Markets that are open daily until the New Year.

Tonight the group will experience one of the biggest parties in Europe – New Years Eve (otherwise known as ‘Silvester' in Germany ) at the iconic Brandenburg Gate. We will depart the hostel at 5pm in an attempt to beat the crowds & grab the best spots possible for the party ahead. We will be joined by approx 1 million other revelers at this awesome outdoor celebration and be enjoying live music, DJs, beer tents, fairground rides and breathtaking fireworks to see in 2009! Happy New Year!

Day 3 – Thursday 1st January:
Welcome to 2009! A slow start this morning as we nurse our sore heads. We have a great New Year's Day Hangover Brunch available to assist with your recovery.

Today is then a free day to further investigate this awesome city! Your tour leader will be on hand to assist with any directions you may need. Perhaps visit the historic Berlin Wall and Checkpoint Charlie sites, check out the grandeur of the Berlin Cathedral or take a stroll along the city streets where East meets West.

Tonight we join together for one final party night to sample Berlin 's world famous nightlife.

Day 4 – Friday 2nd January:
After we have breakfast and check out of the hostel this morning, the New Years in Berlin accommodation package is officially over. The hostel has a luggage storage area where you leave your bags for the day if you would like to head to town one last time!

This tour itinerary is the 8 day Christmas itinerary above plus an extra 2 nights in Marrakech to explore all this amazing city has to offer, haggle at the markets and, most importantly, ring in the New Year!

Day 1 – Tuesday 23rd December:
Welcome to Morocco ! Arrive Marrakech airport and included transfer to our hotel. Be sure to arrive in time for your pre-departure meeting at 6pm. Your first night will be spent at our pre-expedition hotel in the centre of town. [Dinner. Overnight - Marrakech ]

Day 2 – Wednesday 24th December:
After breakfast we leave Marrakech and drive through the Gorges du Dades, an awesome valley which extends from the High Atlas to the Jebel Saghrou range in the south. Berbers built many kasbahs in the vicinity of gorges for defence purposes. These many kasbahs combined with the stunning natural beauty make this a beautiful region through which to travel. Day 3 – Christmas Day!
Today is spent exploring Todra Gorge, from its plunging depths to its awesome heights. Discover the charm of Todra on your trek. Witness it's changing colours as the sun slowly moves from east to west. Or alternatively, you could choose just to chill out for the day and put your feet up for Christmas. [ Breakfast, lunch & dinner. Overnight - Todra Gorge]

  Day 4 – Friday 26th December:
After breakfast we cross the Jebel Saghrou and head down to Erg Chebbi sand dunes, which signify the commencement of the mighty Sahara Desert . Transferring to camels, we trek into the desert to a berber camp, enjoying local food and a night under the Saharan stars. [Breakfast, lunch & dinner. Overnight - berber camp]

Day 5 – Saturday 27th December :
Leaving the desert, we travel through the verdant Draa valley, along the route of 1000 Kasbahs, a beautiful landscape. We continue on to Ouarzazate, which African traders once used on their journeys up to Europe . It has also been used as a film set, for Alexander the Great, The Last Temptation of Christ and The Living Daylights. [Breakfast, l unch & dinner. Overnight – Ouarzazate]

  Day 6 – Sunday 28th December:
After breakfast we head to Aït Benhaddou, a ‘fortified city', situated along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech. It is situated on a hill along the Ouarzazate River and boasts some beautiful examples of kasbahs, some of which remain inhabited. Granted UNESCO World Heritage listing, the site had been the setting for many films including Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator. [Breakfast, l unch & dinner. Overnight – Marrakech]

Day 7 – Monday 29th December:
Glowing red against the snowcapped High Atlas Mountains, the very name ‘Marrakech' conjures up images of an exotic, distant city, of magic carpets and snake charmers and of frankincense and myrrh brought in by camel trains. Set within the rose-coloured walls of the medina lies a reality that is not that far removed from an exotic film set – a tangle of winding streets that open onto verdant gardens and dark alleyways that lead to bustling souks. The focal point is the central square, the Djemâa-el-Fna, an extraordinary gathering and market place. Full of colour, spicy aromas and traders it is best seen in the evening when overflowing with food stalls, dancers, acrobats, fortune tellers, musicians and henna artists. And towering over all this is the Koutoubia mosque, the tallest building in the city, and a reminder of the importance of Islam to the lives of the city's residents. Today is spent enjoying this exquisite city. [Breakfast, lunch & dinner. Overnight – Marrakech]

Day 8 – Tuesday 30th & Wednesday 31 st December:
Free time to explore Marrakech, try a hamman and practice your bargaining skills in the souks.  [Breakfast each day & New Year's Eve Dinner. Overnights – Marrakech]

Day 10 – New Year's Day!
Unfortunately our expedition ends in Marrakech today after breakfast.

Enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech this morning, with free time in the afternoon to explore independently. Day 8 – Tuesday 30th December:
This morning we drive south for approximately 4 hours to the Souss Valley and the Agadir coast, stopping en route for lunch. Your base for the next two nights will be the small fishing village of Taghazoute . The laid back atmosphere, beautiful beach and traditional charm of Taghazoute, has made it popular with hippies since the 60's and surfers soon discovered its world class point breaks, making it the surfing Mecca it is today. We check into our surf accommodation, put on our wetsuits and then head to the beach for an afternoon of surf coaching and riding the waves![Breakfast, lunch & dinner. Overnight – Taghazoute]

Day 9 – Tuesday 31st December:
Enjoy a free day relaxing on the beach and topping up your tan, or choose from our exciting optional activities (payable locally); Perhaps continue perfecting your surfing skills with more coaching, horse trek along the beautiful Moroccan coastline or try Quad biking, to get your adrenaline really pumping! This evening enjoy a New Year's Eve dinner with your group in a local restaurant!  [Breakfast, lunch & dinner. Overnight – Taghazoute]

Day 10 – New Year's Day!
This morning is free for you to spend at leisure or the final opportunity to try one of the optional activities. We have lunch in Taghazoute before heading back to the hustle and bustle of Marrakech, stopping en route for dinner. [Breakfast, lunch & dinner. Overnight – Marrakech]
