For those who are craving some mid-winter sun, this is the perfect solution. The wonderful resort of Sharm El Sheikh has something for everyone, whether you want to get some amazing diving in or just relax by the pool. This package is an accommodation only package and you will need to make you own way there.
Saturday 20th February 2010:
Today is arrival day! There will be a Tour Leader to meet you at Sharm el Sheikh airport, and you will be transferred to your local accommodation around 20 minutes away. This evening the tour group will meet for welcome drinks and hit the town to start the tour as we mean to go on! Welcome to Red Sea Egypt.
Sunday 21st February 2010:
After breakfast today, we will be transferred down to the local port where we will join a full day boat trip to discover the world famous, stunning coral reefs of the Red Sea. The boats are modern, spacious and comfortable vessels and your snorkeling equipment is provided. We will be making 3-4 snorkeling/dive stops for anyone wishing to discover the underwater world – alternatively, you can just relax on board the boat and soak up the Egyptian sunshine – the choice is yours! (Please note, we are also able to offer Scuba diving upgrades on this boat trip for both qualified divers and beginners – please enquire with the FFT office)
Monday 22nd February 2010:
Today is a free day for you to explore the town of Sharm el Sheikh. Perhaps take a stroll along the palm tree lined beach promenade in Naama Bay, visit one of the local beaches for more relaxation and snorkeling, haggle with the local traders at the Old Market or simply chill out next to the hotel pool.
Tonight, the group will meet at the Hotel bar and venture out to the oldest part of town – the Old Market. Why not try some of the local Egyptian delicacies or fresh seafood restaurants? The Old Market is famous for it’s cheap local food, authentic ‘shisha pipe’ cafes and its many shopping delights – prepare to haggle though!
Tuesday 23rd February 2010:
An early start today for those who have booked the optional Safari Day Trip to the famous protected region of Abu Galum and the Blue Hole (Dahab). During the tour, we will visit local Bedouin villages, stop for a traditional lunch in the desert and have the option to snorkel in the world famous Blue Hole. For those who do not wish to partake in this optional day excursion, you have a free day to yourself.
Wednesday 24th & Thursday 25th February 2010:
There are plenty of optional extras you can get involved in over the next 2 days – Camel safaris, quad biking in the desert, diving, swimming with Dolphins – the Red Sea is your Oyster. Please see your Tour Leader to arrange any of our optional excursions. You can even arrange to visit the spectacular Pyramids of Cairo and Temples of Luxor if you wish! Alternatively, take the time to relax in this beautiful region of Egypt – enjoy the sunshine, beaches and landscape!
Friday 26th February 2010:
Party Time! After breakfast today we will set out to the very popular local haunt of Terrazina Beach – famous for it’s pumping Friday Beach Parties! Starting in the morning and finishing well after bedtime, this is an experience not to be missed! Relax in the sun on big comfy cushions or dance in the sand to the beats of the onsite DJ – the vibe at this party is electric. There are also Watersports available for any adventurous types!
Saturday 27th February 2010:
Unfortunately all good things must come to an end and today after breakfast your tour concludes.
Please note – The Red Sea is arguably the best (and possibly the cheapest) place in the world to do your PADI Open Water Diving Qualifications and we can arrange the 4 day course for you whilst you are here with us in Egypt. Please enquire with the FFT Office for more details and prices. |

For those who want an out of the ordinary, long weekend away, we can now offer a new 4 day trip to Cairo . The tour will include a full day at the Pyramids and Sphinx of Giza as well as the older Pyramids of Sakara and Dashur where you will be accompanied by an Egyptologist guide to explain the building and meaning of these incredible monuments. The tour will take in the Coptic and Muslim areas of Cairo to see ancient churches and beautiful mosques as well as the famous Khan-el-Khalili Market where you can shop till you drop!
Day 1
You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel where a Representative will be available to answer any queries, talk you through your itinerary and offer you any other advice or assistance you may require.
Day 2
Your first exploratory day of Cairo begins with a visit to the Pyramids of Sakara + Dashur (the "Step", "Red" and "Bent" Pyramids) accompanied by our excellent Egyptologist Guide. Further out in the desert and much older than the Pyramids at Giza , these amazing constructions provide an introduction to the process of pyramid building that culminated in the famous wonders of the world at Giza . The afternoon is spent exploring the Giza Pyramids themselves as well as the world famous Sphinx. You can also choose to actually climb inside pyramids at both sites - an opportunity not to be missed.
Evening Day 2 - In the evening you have the opportunity to return back to Giza to witness the amazing Pyramids Sound + Light Show (optional excursion). Viewing the pyramids seated under the stars while multi-coloured lights highlight their detail and the booming voice of the Sphinx narrates their history, is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Overnight in Cairo Hotel. (Breakfast)
Day 3
Your second sightseeing day begins with a visit to the Egyptian Antiquities Museum accompanied by our Egyptologist Guide. Here you will be able to explore the massive selection of artefacts displayed, while our guide brings alive the Pharonic era for you. The entrance to the mind-blowing Mummy Room is also included, where you will be able to see firsthand the mummies that have survived for thousands of years. In the afternoon you will explore the Coptic and Islamic areas of Cairo along with your guide - and have the opportunity to visit immense and beautiful mosques, the Citadel (old fortress), and the famous Khan el Khalili Market where you can shop till you drop into the late afternoon!!
Evening Day 3 - Later in the evening there is the opportunity to relax onboard a 4-star boat for a Dinner Cruise along the Nile River (optional excursion). For two hours you can sail along the picturesque waters of the Nile, eat a sumptuous Egyptian buffet, and enjoy the traditional Egyptian entertainment of belly-dancing, sufi dancing, and local musicians, all accompanied by a cool beer or sparkling glass of wine. Overnight in Cairo Hotel. (Breakfast). (You have the option to fly back tonight if you wish).
Day 4
Today is a free day until your transfer for your return flight. Return airport transfers to Cairo Airport with a rep are all included within the package. Depending on the time of your return flight you will be able to relax by the hotel swimming pool or indulge in a massage at the hotels spa (5 star only). You may even organize further sightseeing if there is more of the fascinating city of Cairo that you wish to explore. (Breakfast)
Extra Night
If you have extra time, why not spend another night in Cairo and take a day trip up to the beautiful north coast city of Alexandria ? This 20km long city which hugs the Mediterranean sea, has a completely different "feel" to it than Cairo , being much more cosmopolitan and resplendent in Greek influenced architecture. Visit the famous library, the citadel and catacombs, stroll along the beach promenade and feast on the freshest seafood you are likely to find in Egypt in one of the many traditional seafood restaurants that dot the sea front. The day tour takes place in your own private air-conditioned 7 seat mini bus, fully accompanied by a guide. Overnight Cairo Hotel.
Cost for Alexandria Extension - from £60 GB per person, Minimum 2 people. (includes private air-con transport and guide). |

This tour highlights Egypt's main historical sites including the Pyramids & Sphinx in Cairo, the Valley of the Kings in Luxor & Dahab on the Red Sea. Includes all transport, all accommodation, most meals, entrance to the Pyramids, History museum, Valley of Kings plus more!
Day 1 Cairo You will be met at Cairo Airport and transferred to our hotel. For those who arrive in Cairo before 6pm, there will be an evening meal with your Oasis Tour Leader. Today is a free day with no activities planned.
Day 2 Cairo Accompanied by our local Egyptologist Guide we visit the Egyptian History Museum , a must-do during trips to Cairo. In the afternoon our guide takes us around the Pyramids and Sphinx at Giza. We also include a group camel ride while at the pyramids! After our evening meal we transfer to the hustle and bustle of Cairo Railway Station where we take the overnight train to Luxor.
Day 3 Luxor In the morning we are transferred to our Luxor Hotel. The morning is free for you to explore Luxor. Your tour leader will give you maps, information and a number of options. You can visit the local souk or walk along the Nile Riverbank and hire a felucca for a couple of hours or, if you wish, simply relax by the hotel's swimming pool.
The vast Karnak Temple complex beats every other monument in Egypt except perhaps the Pyramids of Giza. Built on an awesome scale (it does house the gods after all!) its Levithian size will amaze you! Your visit is by horse drawn carriage and in the evening there is also the option of the Sound and Light Show.
Day 4 Luxor Today is the day many have been waiting for. We take a ferry to the West Bank of the Nile where we mount our donkeys for the trek to the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Workers (in mid-summer we may use an air-conditioned mini-bus instead of donkeys). Again we have a local Egyptologist Guide who will show us through a number of Pharaoh's tombs during a pyramid tour and explain the 3000 year old history of the Pharaohs, their mummification and journey through the underworld. There is also the option to visit the Valley of Queens & Hatsphasuts
Day 5 Luxor & Hurghada An optional visit to Luxor Temple which is on the bank of the Nile near the centre of town and less than five minutes walk from our Hotel. Once joined to the Great Temple of Karnak by an avenue of Sphinxes, part of which still remains, this elegant temple was built by a succession of Pharaohs including Tutankhamun and Ramses II, and Alexander the Great.
After lunch we travel for four hours by coach through the desert to the Red Sea resort of Hurghada where we spend the night in a local hotel.
(please note: we are one of the very few companies operating tours in Egypt that uses the hydrofoil across the Red Sea, thus doing away with the very long and tedious 18hr bus journey and allowing an extra day in Dahab).
Days 6-8 Dahab Crossing the Red Sea by hydrofoil we land in the Sinai Desert. The nomadic Bedouin who occupy the Sinai generally have a much more laid-back attitude to life than their Egyptian neighbours. This will become evident to you over the next three days that you spend in Dahab. With year-round sunshine and warm sea temperatures, Dahab's unique atmosphere makes this THE place to visit on a trip to Egypt. Besides the party mood that pervades Dahab with its lively Bedouin Pubs and quirky beach restaurants, this part of the Red Sea is also recognized as one of the world's top diving locations with spectacular underwater coral gardens and marine life.
You can snorkel to some of this coral literally within metres of the beach, go scuba diving, trek through the desert by camel and quad bike or visit St Catherine's Monastery and Mount Sinai where Moses received the Ten Commandments. (Lunch on arrival in Dahab on day 6)
Day 9 Dahab We spend most of the day in Dahab. After our final day relaxing on the Red Sea, we travel overnight back to Cairo. (No meals provided)
Day 10 Cairo Today marks the end of our trip to Egypt, and group members will be flying out at different times during the day, most of them in the evening. Additional accommodation can be arranged if you wish to stay on. (No meals provided) |

Amazing Archaeological sites and the white sandy beaches of Dahab, make our Egypt Tours as diverse as you can get. Discover the Pyramids, The Sphinx, Valley of the Kings and Abu Simbel.
A tour using minibuses, coaches, trains, ferries & feluccas, staying in 2 & 3 star hotels includes in the price Pyramids, Egyptian History Museum, Luxor, Aswan, Valley Of Kings & Workers , Abu Simbel, Dahab on the Red Sea, the majority of meals and more!.
Day 1 Cairo - Free Day. Your Egypt travel adventure begins with you being met at Cairo airport and transferred to your hotel . Your Oasis Tour leader will meet those of you who have arrived at our Hotel for an informal get together. (No meals provided today)
Day 2 Cairo - Famous for the pyramids and all things concerning Egyptology; trips to Cairo are educational and awe inspiring. The tour starts in the bustling metropolis that is Cairo, with our own Egyptologist guide for the day. We spend the morning at the Egyptian History Museum and after lunch we explore the world-famous Pyramids - inside and out - and the Sphinx at Giza . Trips to Cairo aren't complete without a camel ride which is also included and is guaranteed to be a good laugh. In the evening we catch an overnight train to Aswan . (Two meals)
Days 3-4 Aswan - Our train arrives in the morning and we are transferred to our Hotel. Tours to Egypt are not complete without a visit to Aswan and its beautiful setting on the Nile - feluccas, desert sand, sparkling water, palm trees, tropical plants, granite rock outcrops, islands and the Nile's first cataracts. The culture of Aswan's darker Nubian inhabitants is palpably African and more laid back than the rest of Egypt. Here you can walk along the Corniche with its riverside restaurants and attractive boulevards, or mix with locals in the narrow market alleys and stop in small cafes. We also include a visit to the great stone monuments of the Sun Temple built by Ramses II deep in the southern desert at Abu Simbel . (included in the cost of the tour). We also organise a trip to the Temple at Philae and you can also go by felucca to visit Elephantine Island . Your Tour Leader will advise and inform you of the various things you can do and places to visit in and around Aswan, including an evening visit to a Nubian village. (Three Meals)
Days 5-6 River Nile, Felucca - In the morning we transfer to our feluccas , the perfect relaxing antidote to a busy Egypt adventure trip. We spend the next two days and nights aboard watching Egypt glide by and sleeping under the stars . Originally introduced by the Romans, these traditional sailing boats use only wind power and occasionally oars. We will sleep on board over night as well as stop off at villages and sandy beaches . A canopy can be erected as protection from the sun during the day, and wind or dew at night. (Three meals each day)
Day 7 Luxor - Our Felucca trip will end this morning, but our Egypt adventure continues. After the felucca trip you will have the opportunity to visit Kom Ombo temple and the Temple of Horus at Edfu . We transfer by mini bus to our Luxor hotel from where you have the afternoon to explore Luxor's sights. The vast Karnak Temple complex beats every other monument in Egypt except perhaps the Pyramids of Giza and is a must on any Egypt tour. Built on an awesome scale (it does house the gods after all!) its Levithian size will astound you! We include a visit to Karnak Temple reached by our own horse-drawn carriages . There is also the option of the Sound and Light Show in the evening. Luxor Temple is in the centre of town within easy walking distance of our hotel. (Two Meals)
Day 8 Luxor - Today we have a sturdy donkey each to visit the Valley of the Kings & Workers, where our guide shows us around a number of tombs . (In the summer months we may use an air-conditioned mini-bus instead of donkeys.) Intended by the Pharaohs who built them to be the ultimate insurance policy on eternal life, the tombs are very well hidden and we have to scramble down long dark underground shafts to discover their dramatic and quite amazing funerary glory. We will also visit the Colossi of Memnon and there is an option to visit the Valley of the Queens & Hatshaputs as well . (Two meals)
Day 9 Luxor to Hurghada - We have a free morning in Luxor.. In the afternoon we travel for four hours by road to the Red Sea resort of Hurghada where we overnight in a local hotel. (Two meals)
Those on the 10 day Egypt trip will board the overnight train from Luxor back to Cairo on the evening of Day 9 to be met at Cairo Station and transferred to our Cairo hotel on the morning of Day 10 where the trip ends. If you are planning to fly from Cairo today please only do so after midday due to possible delays.
Those on the 14 day Egypt tour will continue on to Dahab on the Red Sea.
Day 10 Hurghada to Dahab - We catch the morning hydrofoil ferry for the short hop across the Red Sea to the Sinai Peninsula . We now transfer you to the most relaxed and, for many, the most enjoyable place in Egypt. We arrive in Dahab in time for a seafood lunch and a cold beer on the beach!
(please note: we are one of the very few companies operating tours in Egypt that uses the hydrofoil across the Red Sea, thus doing away with the very long and tedious 18hr bus journey and allowing an extra day in Dahab).
Days 11 & 12 Dahab - With year-round sunshine, warm sea temperatures and a laid-back atmosphere, it is no wonder Dahab has become so popular with travellers.
Here almost 'anything goes' and our stay in Dahab can become quite hedonistic! Here also there are no big tourist hotels nearby and we stay in a small air-conditioned hotel 5 minutes walk from the beach.
This part of the Red Sea is also known as one of the world's top diving locations , with spectacular coral gardens and marine life you can snorkel to within metres of the beach. There is the opportunity to scuba dive, desert trek by camel or quad bike, visit St Catherine's Monastery and climb Mt Sinai or simply relax on the beach. (No meals provided)
Day 13 Dahab - After our final day relaxing in Dahab, we begin overnight trips back to Cairo where our tour of Egypt draws to a close. (No meal provided)
Day 14 Cairo - Our trip ends in the morning on arrival in Cairo at our hotel in the city centre. Additional accommodation can be arranged if you wish. If you are planning to fly from Cairo today please only do so after midday due to possible delays. (No meals provided)
At the end of you Egypt trip there is the option to extend your stay in Dahab and we can still arrange your transfer back up to Cairo , which is included as well as your departure airport transfer. Please just ask us about this when making your booking.
Please also note that as part of the tour cost, an Egyptologist guide is included to the following sites and temples: Egyptian History Museum in Cairo and Mummy Room, Pyramids & Sphinx at Giza , Philae, Luxor and Abu Simbel Temples as well as The Valley of Kings & Workers. |

Day 4 Bahariyya Oasis White Desert - We check out Bahariyya - an ancient oasis dating back to the Middle Kingdom. Continuing by 4 x 4 , we visit some temples, tombs and the Black Desert - a region full of black volcano-shaped mountains. Our desert camp tonight is the White Desert . So named, as the sand eerily resembles snow, the striking White Desert is full of unusual wind-eroded limestone formations and our remote overnight base where we camp out. (All Meals)
Day 5 Dakhla Oasis - Continuing by 4 x 4, we drive to Farafra - the smallest oasis in the Western Desert and famed for it's exotic fruit and olive oil . Here, we can enjoy a dip in one of the natural springs and we'll visit Badr's Museum . Continuing to Dakhla , a true highlight is the medieval city of Al Qasr . Only recently abandoned we wander through the eerie high walled city, mosque, school, olive press and court. Many of the houses here have acacia wood lintels above the doorways whose kufic (Islamic script) inscriptions name the builder or occupants of the dwelling. Additionally, the inscriptions trace the family heritage, the oldest dating back to 1518. We continue onto Deir al-Haggar - the Roman Temple dedicated to the Theban Triad. (Breakfast)
Day 6 El Bagawat Necropolis - Departing Dakhla, we journey to Kharga Oasis . In Kharga we visit the Temple of Hibis , the rambling 4th century necropolis of el-Bagawat built entirely of mudbrick and the temple ruins of Deir al-Kashef , before continuing to Luxor for the night. (Breakfast)
Day 7 Aswan - Journeying south by train, we arrive at the Nile frontier town of Aswan . Check-in to our hotel, we later visit the mighty High Dam . Continuing, we enjoy a short boat trip to Agilika Island for Philae Temple - dedicated to the goddess Isis. Later, free time to perhaps do some shopping in the colourful souqs and markets or simply relax in this attractive town which straddles the River Nile. (Breakfast)
